Well it has been almost a year now since my first single "Angel" was released and now almost a full year later is released "Angel" again, but this time are the Remixes. Each remix (as there are several) has been worked on by some of the worlds top Grammy award winning DJ's and producers to such asKlubjumpers", "Frank Bailey", Thomas Gold, Ibiza Avenue, & "Lametta each version with their own individual style, awesome groove and flare. It is a songwriters dream to be able to have a song remixed this many number of different versions giving each version a new set of wings i.e. new dimensions and life allowing the songs potential to be explored to the MAXIMUM!. I cant decide which one I like the best:) I cant wait to be singing & performing to these versions, all over the world I hope the world will really soak them up :)
And today the 17th of Nov is the official release of my holiday single "Merry Christmas-The Greatest Gift On Earth" onto iTunes.
I am blown away that I am having this number of songs released at the SAME TIME!!!
A bit of an image overhaul to now as we decided to tweak my image to go with me changing as a person & artist as we all do as time goes on. It was very exciting to be in a top NY photography studio having so many people to pamper to every need and be transformed from, well to put it this way, a bit of a Cinderella day. I felt with that wand gradually being waved throughout the day. I cant wait to see the final photos.There was a "behind the scenes" video being filmed of my complete transformation as it was happening (the before and after) that I am wondering if will end up on here soon also :)
Ok well that is the latest to report so hope you are all enjoying my diary entries and I hope to be back soon with the latest soon,
Peace & Blessings to you all,
Liz :)

Trying To Capture The Spirit Of Christmas In A Song
I was asked about a week ago by my label to write a Christmas song, that I was to record 5 days later. Anyone who knows how I write my songs will probably chuckle thinking that should be easy for her but this was a bit of a challenge. I have never written a Christmas song before and instantly I started to freak a little thinking, "Ok no problem, I mean there is like only the most MAJOR competition out there when it comes to Christmas songs, sure I can do this eeeeeeks!".
I also had to remember to write the song around Christmas in the Northern Hemisphere and not where I come from i.e. Australia where it is summer, meaning typically HOT and our upbringing is of Santa in sunglasses, shorts, flip-flops, a crew of a mix of reindeer all sharing surfboards with the odd kangaroo and koala. Would you all believe a lot of us still have traditional HOT roast turkey dinner on the day to with all the trimmings! We all of course head for the beach or any cool body of water after wards.
I came up with a few ideas at first which all ended up in crumpled balls of "recycled" paper on the floor as I realized they were no good. I really started to think I was a bit way out of my depth but then my producer sent me the music and I almost spontaneously became saturated by the Christmas spirit, the inspiration seemed to pour, it was an awesome feeling!
However, as I began writing and being completely fueled by the Christmas spirit, my heart seemed to start aching, which at first I thought was weird?!?!?
Then I realized the ache was coming from the thought of those that are just not able to celebrate Christmas because of extreme poverty, being away from their loved ones or just feeling alone. My heart just seemed to burst with sadness and so I just felt compelled to want to help those that are also feeling and living this way to also be able to share in the joy of Christmas. I felt there were 2 missions to this song;
1. To fill hearts so FULL of the Christmas spirit which to me is an extraordinary mix of joy, excitement, hope, peace and love
so that in return we are;
2. So filled to overflowing with the Christmas spirit that we just want to be givers and experience that extraordianry sense of joy we get from giving, and how often the most powerful gift that has and always will be is not expensive gifts but a simple heartfelt smile,a hug, kind words, an invitation to Christmas dinner, a gift of food, a blanket, and the list goes on at the littlest, simplest things we can give and do that can make ALL the difference to lift someone up.
So that's the song..."The Gift of Love"
I pray it will fill you with the Spirit of Christmas early this year and will help to inspire you to help out a few more less fortunate so we all can be filled to overflowing with the Spirit of Christmas this year !

Out of The Bad Can come Good/A Dream coming true in the Storm
WHY oh WHY with the good seems to come the bad or is it that out of the bad really can come GOOD?
The timing of my label asking me to begin this series of diary entries to share the journey is SUCH perfect timing and feels SO GOOD TO me so I can share ALL the stuff I go through and will be going through as well as VENTing (just a little- well u know... the Good, The Bad and the down right UGLY!!!)
I am just really taking in this moment to try and get a grasp of the reality that is my life right at this moment. As of only recently after months and months of twists and turns finally I am really beginning to feel the GLOW & excitement of my dream of having my music released all around the world, doing interviews, being able to perform to more and more people and to start to hear plans for a tour finally now becoming a reality and writing and recording a second album.
BUT WHY OH WHY at the SAME TIME the GOOD stuff is finally happening must along come a rotten chunk of YUCK!! Bit by bit I hope to share the details of it ALL NOW... the GOOD STUFF & a little YUCK as well.. Well it does feel good to be able to VENT as I said I am really starting to see that everything really does seem to happen for a reason and that out of our storms our dreams can come...
But I tell you it is by faith and having awesome people sent to me in my life has kept me strong and kept me on path so that I never gave up!!
